Ranking Criteria
The following is the ranking criteria of the entire family of "Singapore 1000" rankings,
including the "Singapore SME 500", "Fastest Growing 50" and "Singapore International 100".

Basic Criteria For All Rankings & Certification

All companies registered with the Singapore Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA)
as limited or private limited companies will be included in this ranking exercise.
For exempt private limited companies, only those who voluntarily submit their audited
financial statements or whose financials are available from the ACRA,
will be included in the ranking exercise. Branches of foreign companies,
co-operatives and not-for-profit organizations are excluded.

Have conducted at least 2 full years of operation.

The relevant audited financial statements are either submitted directly by the company to
DP Information Group or be available from the ACRA. Companies will be excluded from
the ranking where the information is not available or incomplete.
Examples include the private exempt companies which are not required to file their
financial statements or where Sales/Turnover figures are not presented in
the audited statements.

Subsidiary companies are evaluated and ranked as a separate legal entity from their holding companies.
Companies are included in the Sales/Turnover comprise all companies for which their accounts have been audited.
Companies included in the rankings other than the Sales/Turnover and Sales/Turnover related categories,
comprise of companies for which there is no reservation or disclaimers expressed in the Auditors' Report.

Additional Criteria For "Singapore SME 500" Ranking

Have an annual Sales/Turnover and Net Profit After Tax of less than SGD 80 million.

Have Fixed Assets of less than SGD 15 million.

Have at least 30% Singapore local equity ownership and not be a subsidiary of a Public Listed Company.

Additional Criteria For "Fastest Growing 50" Certification

Companies must be in operation for at least 4 years.

All SME 500 companies, Singapore 1000 companies and the next 1000,
also known as emerging 1000 companies were put forward for consideration prior to short listing.
The certification looks at all companies and SMEs ranked in the "Singapore 1000"
and "Singapore SME 500" rankings.

Firms have to demonstrate a 10% turnover growth or better every year for
the last 3 years and must be profitable for each of the last 3 years.

Certification is based on companies' annual financials, which have to be verified by auditors
to be true and fair for all 4 years.

The final order of position is from the last 3-years CAGR growth (in percentage) in turnover, in descending order.

The Top 10 Fastest Growing Internationalising Companies take into account the last 2-years CAGR growth of the qualifying companies' overseas revenue over the last 3 years.

Additional Criteria For "Singapore International 100" Certification

All companies ranked in the "Singapore 1000", "Emerging 1000",
"Singapore SME 500" and "Singapore SME Emerging 200" Rankings.

At least 30% Singapore equity (Note: Includes both group and company level financials).

Must have presence in at least 2 countries outside Singapore
(presence is defined as including subsidiary, branch, representative office,
third party distributor, agent, etc).

Does not include export activities.
