Definitions & Criteria
The Singapore International 100 companies are selected and ranked based on their audited financial figures from overseas markets, i.e. Sales/Turnover or Net Profit for financial period ending between 1 June 2008 and 31 May 2009. Comparative financial information is extracted from the companies' latest financial statements.
Top 100 Ranking and Top 10 by Market Segment
The Top 100 Ranking lists the top 100 companies by their overseas revenue (including public listed companies with clear breakdown of their overseas revenue including public listed companies with clear breakdown of their local and overseas sales / turnover), while the Top 10 by Markets list the top 10 companies in the following market segments; Africa, the Americas, China, Europe, India, the Middle East, North Asia, Oceania and Southeast Asia.
Top 10 Internationalising SMEs
The Top 10 Internationalising SMEs category lists the top 10 SMEs by their overseas revenue.
To qualify as an SME:
- Have an annual Sales / Turnover of less than SGD 80 million
- Have Fixed Assets of less than SGD 15 million
- Have at least 30% Singapore local equity ownership and not be a subsidiary of a Public Listed Company
