DP INFO TO LAUNCH 'DELPHI FOR CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT' IN SINGAPORE

products will help local companies manage their
customer risk

As part of its relationship with global information services company Experian, DP Information Group (DP Info) today announced plans to introduce a new credit assessment product in Singapore - Delphi for Customer Management (DCM).
Experian is the global leader in information services with revenues in excess of US$4 billion and supporting clients in more than 65 countries in the world. DP Info is the leader in the provision of credit and business information services in Singapore.
DCM is a total integrated credit solution that identifies changes in the credit behaviour of existing customers, then, using a suite of highly predictive behavioural scorecards it provides an updated risk assessment. DP Info expects the new service to be available in the first half of 2009.
DCM allows financial institutions and businesses to identify and act upon the changing risk profile of customers. When a customer account is identified as having had a significant credit related event, a recalculation of bureau score is done and the details are returned to the client.
For example, DCM is regularly updated to ensure that significant changes – such as changes of address, sudden increases in credit activity, registration of new judgments and missed payments – are registered and acted upon so that the customer is re-scored using the latest information. It provides a regularly updated risk assessment of all customers, taking into account activity with other institutions and non-bank credit information to give a true customer view'.
According to Ms Chen Yew Nah, Managing Director of DP Info, having fast access to changing customer credit profiles is critical to ensuring relationships are effectively managed.
"The benefit of DCM is the ability it gives a company to make faster and yet accurate decisions. It can provide a company with a regularly updated risk assessment of all its customers. DCM combines information regarding a customer's credit position with details of credit activity at other lending institutions to provide a 360-degree view of customer borrowing trends and changes in their borrowing status."
"This means lending and customer management decisions are based on a complete borrowing picture to drive appropriate, responsible decision making and improve overall customer management," Ms Chen said.
